Dear holiday guests!
Our holiday apartment/vacation home is intended to be a second home for you.
You should feel comfortable and able to relax. We have put a lot of effort into the furnishings and hope that you will find everything you need. The following house rules are intended to help you have a pleasant stay. We have also listed a few rules that we hope you will understand.
By treating the apartment properly, you will help us continue to offer you and other guests a pleasant stay in our house.
General
If you are missing anything in the facility or need assistance,
please feel free to contact us. All items located in the apartment/holiday home or on the balcony or terrace, or belonging to it, may and should be used by guests. Please handle all furnishings and inventory with care and treat the rental property with respect.
Please ensure that your fellow travelers also comply with the rental conditions.
Kitchen
The island of Vir offers many bars and restaurants where you can enjoy good, affordable meals. However, if you prefer to cook or grill alone, we ask you to:
Thank you.
Damages
No one intentionally damages things, but it can happen to anyone that something breaks. We would appreciate it if you would report any damage so that we can discover it during the final cleaning, rather than waiting until after your departure.
The tenant is liable for any damage up to the replacement cost.
We generally collect a security deposit for this before the start of your stay. See rental agreement.
Ventilate
To prevent mold growth, we ask you to ventilate the rooms sufficiently, at least once a day for 5-10 minutes, and especially after showering.
Duty of care
We ask our guests to treat the rental property with care and ensure that fellow travelers and relatives also comply with the rental conditions. The front door should always be closed and locked with a key when leaving the house. Likewise, all windows must be closed when leaving the apartment to prevent possible damage from storms or burglary.
In particular, please ensure that the air conditioning is only used in the evenings and with the windows and doors closed. By following these guidelines, you will have a well-air-conditioned apartment for the night and protect the environment.
Disposal
Waste is separated into residual waste, glass, paper, and plastic packaging. The residual waste bin provided on the property is for the disposal of residual waste. It is emptied every Tuesday and Friday. If the bin is three-quarters full, please place it in the courtyard entrance by the street the evening before the emptying date. Bins are available for paper (blue bin) and plastic waste (yellow bin). These are emptied every second and fourth Monday of the month. Please proceed as described for the residual waste bins. Appropriate containers for glass disposal are available in the Vir area. The nearest collection point is not far from the bus station; a corresponding map is available in the apartments. Plastic bottles with a deposit can be returned at certain stores (for example, at Tommy near the exchange office in the city center) (7 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or can be collected in plastic bags and simply placed on the street (deposits are not refundable in this case). A note regarding the return of deposit bottles in beverage crates: These can be returned to the store where they were purchased upon presentation of the receipt. No returns are possible without a receipt.
Please only use trash cans and cosmetic bins in the bathroom with trash bags, and dispose of them in the general waste bin. No garbage, food scraps, harmful liquids, or similar items may be thrown or poured into the kitchen sink, toilets, washbasins, or showers! Avoid anything that could clog the pipes (do not pour sanitary products down the toilet).
Cleaning
Appropriate cleaning supplies are available at all times for any intermediate cleaning that may be necessary. We ask that you leave the apartment swept clean upon departure and put all used dishes back in the cupboards.
Rest periods
In the interest of good neighborliness, we ask you to respect public quiet hours, such as lunchtime, nighttime, and Sunday quiet. In the holiday apartment itself, please also ensure that noise levels are kept to a minimum between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. for the benefit of everyone.
Internet/WIFI
Wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) is available in the holiday apartment/holiday home. Please ask us for the access code; we usually provide it with your booking confirmation. Using the internet with your own Wi-Fi-enabled device (laptop, PDA, smartphone, etc.) via the Wi-Fi connection is free of charge for the tenant. You use the internet at your own risk; the landlord disclaims any liability in connection with the tenant's internet usage. When using the Wi-Fi internet access, the Wi-Fi usage rules must also be observed. Please understand, however, that we (must) protect ourselves against misuse with a signature from you.
Smoking
There is a strict NO SMOKING policy in all holiday apartments. Please leave the apartment when smoking. Ashtrays are provided in the kitchen for smoking only on the balcony/terrace. We ask that you only dispose of completely cooled ash in the trash (fire hazard). Please also be careful not to carelessly dispose of cigarette butts in the environment. Croatia's very dry summer months pose an extreme fire hazard.
Pets
Bringing pets is only possible after prior consultation with the landlord.
Parking options
Parking directly in front of the holiday apartment is limited; not every apartment has a sufficiently large parking space, and additional public parking spaces are located in the immediate vicinity.
If a parking space is provided to you, this does not constitute a storage contract. The landlord is not liable for the loss of or damage to motor vehicles parked or maneuvered on the property, including their contents, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of the landlord.
House rules
If repairs are necessary immediately, it may be necessary for the landlord or his authorized representatives to enter the holiday apartment without the knowledge of the guest.
Keys
Please never hand over the keys. Lost keys must be reported immediately, and the guest is responsible for any costs incurred to replace the locking system.
Liability
The landlord is not liable for the guest's valuables.
Arrival and departure
Arrival is by arrangement. On the day of departure, we ask our guests to vacate the apartment by 10:00 a.m. at the latest. Upon your departure, the apartment should be left in the same condition as you found it.
By booking the apartment, we assume that you accept the house rules.
Thank you for your attention.
We wish you a pleasant stay, lots of fun, relaxation, and recreation. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
